The conference "What is Civilization? Envisioning the Future of Humanity" will be held in Kathmandu/Nagarkot, Nepal, from October 4-6, 2024.

This event is jointly organized by the ASIAR Research Cluster, HKIHSS & Global Sustainability and Society Lab, University of Hong Kong, the Asian Institute for Advanced Research (AIFAR), Kathmandu, the Centre for Studies in Science and Humanities, Beijing Normal University, and the Center on Modernity in Transition (COMIT) in the USA. The event is generously sponsored by the Institute for Global Civilization, Hong Kong.

Scholars specializing in civilizational studies from Nepal, China, India, the USA, Pakistan, UAE, Hong Kong, and other countries will participate, offering diverse perspectives on the evolution of civilizations and the future of humanity.
