- To conduct multidisciplinary research on key issues facing Nepal, South Asia, and the world, and to generate innovative knowledge and insights that inform evidence-based policy and decision-making.

- To foster collaboration and partnership among researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders, and to engage with communities in a constructive and inclusive manner.
- To contribute to sustainable development by addressing social, economic, environmental, and political challenges facing the region.
- To disseminate our research findings widely through publications, events, and other media, and to ensure that our research is accessible and relevant to diverse audiences.
- To provide training, mentorship, and capacity-building opportunities for emerging researchers, and to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- To advocate evidence-based policies and practices that promote human rights, democracy, and the rule of law, and to promote a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect.
