Mr Kiran Ghimire is a Research Associate at AIFAR. He has a Master's degree in International Relations from Webster University. His Masters research examines the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative on the Sino-India rivalry. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Tribhuvan University.

Mr Ghimire worked at National Institute for Contemporary Studies (NICS) as a Research Officer and for RTI International/USAID as a Regional Admin Assistant. Through his academic degrees and professional experiences, Mr Ghimire has gained a solid foundation in the field of international relations, human rights, and child rights. He has a keen interest in political and humanitarian research, with a special focus in areas such as child protection, rights, and broader political research.
