Ms. Rupa Adhikari is a Research Associate at the Asian Institute for Advanced Research, specializing in gender, sexual reproductive health, and marriage. She has extensive experience in qualitative research and has contributed to various projects in Nepal.

Notably, Ms. Adhikari worked as a qualitative research assistant in the 'Dignity without Danger' research project, conducted collaboratively by Tribhuvan University and Liverpool John Moores University across all 7 provinces of Nepal. She also served as a Consultant in 'Global Action Nepal' for a film research related to the same project. Moreover, she worked as a Consultant for Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC), focusing on a qualitative research project titled 'Early Child Marriage' among marginalized communities in Nepal.

With a keen interest in qualitative and mixed-methods research, Ms. Adhikari brings a passion for interdisciplinary studies. Currently, she is pursuing her MPhil thesis (Sociology) at Tribhuvan University, where her coursework covered diverse topics such as comparative historical analysis, poverty and inclusion/exclusion, gender, research methodology, critical thinking, state-market and development issues, democracy, nationalism, globalization, survey data analysis, academic writing, and philosophical foundations of the social science research. She had earlier completed her Master's degree with a major in Sociology from Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus.
